Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong says cryptocurrency is updating the financial system, as President Donald Trump pushes for clarity in crypto legislation.

Armstrong spoke on the Katie Miller Podcast, saying that blockchain adoption is expanding across various sectors, including payments, lending, and real-world asset tokenization.

The CLARITY Act, which Armstrong expects to come up for a vote on September 15, aims to establish clearer crypto market rules and make the regulatory framework more durable across future administrations.

Armstrong also discussed the role of AI agents in driving blockchain adoption, predicting that more AI agents than humans will be executing transactions in the future world. He stated that Coinbase is already experimenting with AI-driven financial tools and expects agentic trading to become increasingly important.
