Crypto VC Funding Holds Steady Despite Plunge in Deal Count
Crypto venture capital funding held steady at $1.36 billion in July, but deal count plummeted to a 12-month low of 41 rounds, according to recent data.
This marks a sharp decline from June's totals and is accompanied by a significant contraction in market breadth, with the number of unique institutional investors participating in crypto deals falling by 30.7% to 140 in July.
The concentration of capital among large players was evident, with Crypto.com's $400 million strategic investment accounting for 29.4% of the monthly VC total and masking a 34.2% sequential decline in fundraising.
