Crypto Voters Put CLARITY Act at Center as Midterm Elections Loom
Crypto investors and businesses are closely watching the CLARITY Act as it faces pressure to advance before the midterm elections. The legislation aims to establish clearer rules for digital assets by defining regulatory responsibilities between the SEC and CFTC.
The bill's supporters argue that lawmakers have a limited window to advance the bill before election-year politics make major policy changes more difficult. With 100 days until the midterms, the clock is ticking on the CLARITY Act.
Crypto advocacy group Stand With Crypto said nearly 70% of surveyed crypto owners believe crypto policy will influence their vote in the upcoming elections. The group also reported that over 1 million contacts have been made with Congress supporting the legislation.
