Crypto Voters to Decide Midterm Elections, Says Coinbase CEO

Share

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong is warning lawmakers that crypto policy will play a significant role in the midterm elections. He cited a survey by Stand With Crypto, which found that about 70% of crypto owners believe their vote will be influenced by a candidate's stance on digital assets.

The group also discovered that nearly three-quarters (73%) of respondents are closely watching what policies lawmakers support regarding crypto. Armstrong stated, 'The midterms are coming, and the crypto voters are watching.'

With the CLARITY Act facing a tight deadline in the Senate, which will break for its August recess soon, crypto advocates like Fairshake are pushing hard to sway lawmakers' decisions. The pro-crypto PAC has built a war chest of about $193 million, making it the largest industry-specific war chest ahead of the midterm cycle.
