Crypto Wealth Holders Redraw the Map of Global Finance

Countries are competing to host crypto wealth holders rather than just their money, as the market for digital assets continues to grow.

The Crypto Wealth Report 2026 found that 135,694 individuals hold over $1 million in crypto assets, with 290 crypto centi-millionaires holding over $100 million each and 23 crypto billionaires at the top. Bitcoin accounts for 92,272 of those millionaires, and the market as a whole is worth $2.6 trillion.

The number of individuals holding digital assets has reached a record 742 million, but some fortunes within it have diminished over the past year. Governments are now competing not just for where wealth is held, but also for where these wealthy individuals choose to live, invest, and build their futures.
