Crypto Whale Scores $140M Profit with HYPE Exit

A significant crypto whale has exited their position in HYPE after a year-long hold. The whale sold off their remaining 969,595 HYPE tokens for approximately $79.18 million, marking the closure of a position initially valued at around $50 million.

According to Lookonchain's on-chain transaction tracking, this sale generated a substantial profit of nearly $140 million for the investor. The sale was conducted over the past month, with 770,120 tokens sent to Coinbase Prime and 199,475 tokens sent to FalconX.

The whale had initially withdrawn approximately 2.89 million HYPE from Gate.io at an average price of $17.35 about a year ago. These tokens were staked and held locked for some time before being gradually sold over the past month.
