Crypto Whales Flock to XRP and Solana Amid Bitcoin Consolidation
Market analysts at Wintermute have found that crypto whales are rotating their investments from Bitcoin to altcoins, such as XRP and Solana. According to a recent review by the market maker, despite a hawkish speech from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh, the cryptocurrency market has demonstrated resilience.
The report notes that institutional capital is actively rotating into altcoins, with record inflows into Solana and XRP funds reaching $154 million and $110 million, respectively. The altcoin index rose 0.61%, outperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Wintermute analysts point out that the broadening of capital rotation across the industry is confirmed by the outperformance of altcoins. They also note that market levels are being supported by large funds rather than retail investors, with Bitcoin ETFs attracting $924 million over the week.
The short-term trend remains undefined, but prices are receiving strong support from underinvested large players ready to buy dips. The first test will come with U.S. payroll data on September 4, which could be a critical point for determining the market's trajectory.
