Crypto Whales Stir Market Activity Amidst Bitcoin Price Volatility
Recently, Bitcoin's price has taken a downturn after reaching above $80,000 last week, settling back around $78,000. Despite this shift in the cryptocurrency market, major players are still making headlines with their trades.
A large whale named James Wynn was noted for switching from a short to a long position in Bitcoin. He closed his short position at a loss and then opened a significant 30x long position in BTC.
Another notable transaction involved a whale who spent $443,000 on 7.99 million PONS tokens about a month ago. However, when the price dropped, he sold all of them and incurred a loss of $308,000. If he had held onto them, his $PONS would now be worth over $3.46 million, resulting in a profit of more than $3 million.
Another whale made significant purchases of HYPE tokens, spending $11.88 million on 141,442 tokens today. Additionally, another investor who bought 488,599 HYPE tokens five months ago at $35 each has now staked them all and holds over $23.7 million in unrealized profit.
A mysterious Ethereum whale also made headlines by selling 167,855 ETH for a total of $408 million, although they still hold 97,115 ETH worth around $237 million.
