Cryptocurrency Spot Volume Falls by 21.7% to $429 Billion
The cryptocurrency spot trading volume plummeted by 21.7% to $429 billion in July, according to data compiled by WuBlockchain.
This marked a significant decline from June's $547.9 billion, with all 14 exchanges tracked in the report experiencing a month-over-month drop in volume.
Binance led the pack with $196.5 billion in spot volume, accounting for 45.8% of the total market share. The top three exchanges - Binance, OKX, and Bybit - combined to control about 64% of all July trading volume.
The concentration of trading volume among a few major exchanges raises concerns about market dominance and potential vulnerabilities in case of outages or liquidity shifts.
