Cryptocurrency Volumes Surge 19% to $510B in August
Cryptocurrency trading volumes surged in August, rising 19% to $510.4 billion, according to market reports and exchange data.
The increase was driven by a rebound in spot activity after July's lows and strong inflows into spot markets.
Binance accounted for a large share of the monthly activity, with Robinhood reporting a 61% month-over-month increase in notional crypto trading volume to roughly $17.5 billion.
The uptick in overall cryptocurrency trading followed renewed demand for Bitcoin and Ether products, as well as sustained ETF flows that helped lift market interest.
