Cryptolink's 96 Crypto ATMs Shut Down by AUSTRAC for Repeated AML Violations

Australia's financial intelligence agency AUSTRAC has shut down Cryptolink's 96 cryptocurrency ATMs due to repeated anti-money laundering (AML) violations.

The company failed to meet transaction reporting obligations despite previous enforcement actions, including a A$56,340 penalty payment in October 2025 for delayed transaction reporting and inadequate AML and CTF risk management protocols.

Cryptolink's network of ATMs operates in major Australian metropolitan areas, including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, but the company will not be able to provide any registered digital asset exchange services throughout the three-month ban period.
