CryptoQuant Suggests Bear Market May Be Near End as Whales Load Up on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP
CryptoQuant, a blockchain analytics firm, is suggesting that the current bear market for cryptocurrencies may be nearing its end. According to their research, large investors have been buying tokens rapidly, particularly Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP.
The company noted that whale holdings for BTC have increased to 3.06 million, up from 2.87 million in December 2025. This trend is seen as a positive sign, as it creates a sense of scarcity for the coin, which can reduce selling pressure.
CryptoQuant also found that Ethereum whales are holding a record 19.6 million ETH, with larger wallets adding around 1.8 million ETH to their holdings. XRP whales have been building positions, but CryptoQuant noted that this is likely due to quiet accumulation rather than buying in the open market.
The firm's research suggests that the current market prices for these assets are near or below their realized price, which can mark the beginning of the end of a bear market. However, they also warned that one final decline is still possible before a lasting recovery.
