Cuban's Disappointment with Ethereum: The Problem of Plenty

Mark Cuban's enthusiasm for Ethereum has turned to disappointment. In an August 21 podcast with Kara Swisher, he expressed frustration over how the cryptocurrency has failed to live up to its potential.

Cuban was once a bullish supporter of ETH, and in October 2021, he even said it had more upside potential than Bitcoin. However, his views have changed since then.

He attributed Ethereum's failure to innovate and create new applications to the 'problem of plenty', where creating a competitive blockchain is almost free due to low marginal costs.

Cuban criticized the industry for trying to play the same games and extract as much value as possible from blockchains. He stated that this approach was not feasible and led to the downfall of crypto.
