Cumberland Sells 170K HYPE Tokens, Threatening Institutional Support

Cumberland, one of the largest institutional holders of Hyperliquid crypto, has moved approximately 170,000 HYPE tokens to exchanges Coinbase and Bybit. This represents about 4% of the total institutional assets under management.

The move could be seen as a sign that Cumberland is preparing to sell its HYPE holdings, potentially triggering a wave of profit-taking among other institutional investors who have been holding onto the asset for months.

Hyperliquid crypto has experienced a significant price rally in recent weeks, with some spot ETFs seeing their biggest weekly inflows yet. However, the cryptocurrency's RSI has retreated below overbought territory, indicating declining bullish momentum and potential bearish divergence.
