Curve Accuses PancakeSwap of Code Theft Over New StableSwap Feature

Crypto protocol Curve Finance has accused PancakeSwap of using its StableSwap code without authorization. This alleged violation comes just days after PancakeSwap launched a new StableSwap feature on March 1, designed to reduce slippage on stablecoin pairs.

Curve's accusation is not the first time it has leveled similar charges against another protocol. In 2021, Curve accused Saddle Finance of using its StableSwap implementation without permission.

The dispute highlights a pattern of code-licensing tensions in DeFi. Curve claims that PancakeSwap's actions are 'historically unwise' and could be considered illegal.

PancakeSwap has acknowledged the use of Curve's algorithm, stating that its existing StableSwap feature is an implementation of Curve Finance's AMM. However, it is unclear which version of Curve's code was used and when.
