Curve's CRV token has broken through a descending trendline that had contained its recovery attempts for months, entering breakout territory as its DeFi footprint expands.

The token has risen from below $0.30 at the end of August to around $0.38, testing levels last seen before the latest acceleration. Curve's DEX recorded $1.1 billion in weekly trading volume, up 91.2%, while TVL increased 4.7% to $1.54 billion.

Lending activity is also on the rise, with Llamalend TVL reaching $243 million, representing a 33.4% weekly increase. The combination of higher DEX volume, rising lending activity, and expanding crvUSD usage provides a stronger fundamental backdrop for CRV as it attempts to establish a new trend.

Curve's token economics are also providing another important element to the current setup. Approximately 851 million CRV is locked, with daily emissions reduced from 316,563 to 266,197 CRV in the latest epoch.
