Cyberleek Cashes Out $268,000 Ahead of GTA VI Extended Look

Cyberleek, the group behind the recent GTA VI leaks, has reportedly cashed out $268,000 in cryptocurrency just before Rockstar's Extended Look at the game. The funds were withdrawn from transaction fees generated through the $CYBERLEEK token, which was minted on the Solana blockchain and tied to Cyberleek's leak campaign.

The withdrawals come as Take-Two intensifies its efforts to identify whoever is behind Cyberleek, seeking records from Microsoft and Discord. The movement of funds has provided a clearer look at the money behind the campaign, with ViceCit tracing roughly $268,000 withdrawn from transaction fees. The funds were divided across four transactions and sent through several wallets, ultimately ending up in three places: cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin, swap service CCE.Cash, and several other wallets where some of the money had yet to move.

The way those funds were moved may also provide a clue about who is behind Cyberleek. 'The KuCoin and CCE.Cash transactions seem to suggest at least two people are involved in this and they're using different methods to withdraw their crypto,' ViceCit said.
