CyberLeek GTA 6 Leaks Could Expose Leaker's Identity Through Crypto Wallet Activity
Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) leaks have been making waves online, with an anonymous leaker known as CyberLeek publishing gameplay clips and footage. The leaks began on August 18, showing early gameplay tests, but the recent videos have taken things to a new level.
CyberLeek has earned thousands of dollars from selling cryptocurrency on KuCoin, with some estimates suggesting around $50,000 so far. This has raised hopes that the leaker's identity could be exposed soon, as the crypto wallet activity can be traced back to a well-known exchange that requires Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.
GTAForums user Vice Cit has been investigating CyberLeek and noted that the funds trace directly back to one crypto wallet on KuCoin. This means that if authorities were to subpoena the exchange, they could obtain the identity of the account holder and transaction records, potentially leading to the leaker's conviction.
CyberLeek has condemned the leaks as 'unacceptable' and urged people not to spend money on the cryptocurrency. Despite this, the leaker claims to have other videos in the pipeline, including a playable build of the game. Rockstar Games has hit the clips with DMCA claims but has yet to issue a statement.
