Cypherpunk Acquires $33.3M Zcash Mining Fleet
Cypherpunk Technologies has expanded its Zcash mining strategy after acquiring a significant fleet from Winklevoss Capital for $33.3 million.
The acquired fleet produces approximately 4.2 GSol/s, accounting for about 18% of the Zcash network's total hashrate.
Cypherpunk now holds around 323,394 ZEC tokens, which is roughly 1.9% of the circulating supply.
The company aims to increase its ZEC holdings to 5% of the circulating supply, citing better economics for Zcash mining compared to Bitcoin mining and AI data centers under current conditions.
