Cypherpunk Unleashes Massive Zcash Mining Fleet with Record-Breaking Hash Rate Share

Cypherpunk Technologies has launched what it claims is the world's largest active Zcash mining fleet, after acquiring $33.33 million in assets through a transaction with entities affiliated with Winklevoss Capital.

The deal gives Cypherpunk approximately 18% of the network's current hash rate, making it a significant player in Zcash's proof-of-work security.

Cypherpunk Mining, the newly created operation, has already deployed around 4.2 GSol/s of Equihash computing power across facilities in the United States, using latest-generation Z15 Pro mining machines and associated hosting agreements.

The acquisition is a key component of Cypherpunk's strategy to accumulate Zcash and invest in privacy-focused infrastructure, with the company aiming to own 5% of circulating supply by targeting network issuance through its mining operation.
