CZ: Bitcoin Could Surpass Gold as Reserve Asset, Predicts $1M Price Target

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) recently spoke at the Bitcoin Asia 2026 event, sharing his thoughts on the long-term potential of $BTC and its comparison to gold.

CZ believes that Bitcoin's limited supply, digital nature, and global transferability make it a more advantageous asset than traditional store-of-value gold. He predicts that interest in Bitcoin and similar digital assets will increase in the global financial system in the long term.

CZ also argued that governments should consider creating reserves for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, stating that many countries currently do not have such reserves. This could be important for long-term economic development, he suggested.
