CZ Predicts On-Chain IPOs Will Revolutionize Stock Listings

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) says that Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) will soon move on-chain, using blockchain technology to list companies. This shift would offer investors 24/7 trading, fractional access, and faster settlement times. However, securities laws still apply, and liquidity remains a key concern.

On-chain IPOs already exist, with tokenized stocks holding around $2.9 billion in on-chain value, up 14% in the past month. The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has also filed a rule allowing tokenized versions of large-cap stocks to trade alongside conventional shares.

CZ's comment comes as on-chain listings gain traction. Traditional finance is adapting, with automated processes potentially reducing costs for companies listing on public markets.
