CZ Unveils Ambitious Philanthropic Initiative Amid Growing Portfolio of Giving

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao is set to unveil a new philanthropic initiative during an interview on Thursday at 10 a.m. ET.

CZ has committed to donating between 90% and 99% of his wealth, placing him in the same philosophical orbit as Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.

In recent years, CZ's philanthropic efforts have been growing, with notable donations including $10 million worth of BNB to support open-source biotech projects associated with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin in June 2025.

CZ has also directed $1.5 million through Binance Charity to earthquake relief efforts in Myanmar and Thailand in April 2025, as well as donating the royalties from his memoir, Freedom of Money: A Memoir of Protecting Users, Resilience, and the Founding of Binance, to Giggle Academy, a non-profit education initiative.
