Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has called for wallet diversification after a recent exploit of Coldcard, a hardware wallet company, which resulted in losses of $70 million. CZ emphasized that users should not put all their eggs in one basket when it comes to storing cryptocurrency.

The issue occurred when an attacker was able to steal funds from a group of users who had set up their wallets using the same seed phrase. This vulnerability highlighted the importance of secure wallet management practices, including using multiple wallets and never sharing seed phrases with others.

CZ noted that this incident is not unique to Coldcard, but rather a reminder that all hardware wallets can be vulnerable to attacks if users do not take adequate precautions. He encouraged users to explore alternative wallet options and to prioritize security when managing their cryptocurrency holdings.
