CZ's Wallet Activity Fuels Binance Life Price Surge
The price of Binance Life (币安人生) surged by 4.6% over an 11-hour period due to Changpeng 'CZ' Zhao's on-chain activity and public comments about his wallet and donations.
CZ's handling of meme coins in his public wallet on the BNB Chain was a key catalyst for the price move, with CZ burning (sending to a burn or donation address) 4,444 Binance Life tokens and 4,444 MARSCOIN tokens. A Chinese on-chain watcher noted that CZ's wallet had destroyed these tokens, while another Chinese account explained that CZ initiated burns of these tokens from his public 'donation' address.
CZ later clarified that he was cleaning out spam meme tokens from his Trust Wallet view and would donate his BNB and Binance Life holdings to Giggle Academy, then abandon the wallet. This clarification led to a reversal in the token's price, with its 24-hour performance flipping negative despite the initial 4.6% intraday uptick.
