Dalio Expects Bitcoin to 'Do Well' Amid Global Debt Crisis
Billionaire investor Ray Dalio has expressed his expectation that Bitcoin will 'do relatively well' in the current economic landscape. In his recent LinkedIn post, Dalio pointed out that governments around the world are struggling with rising debt and large fiscal deficits, which he believes could lead to a critical stage of the long-term debt cycle.
Dalio noted that most major economies, including the US, UK, European Union, China, Japan, and others, face similar debt and deficit problems. He emphasized that weakening demand for government debt, rising long-term bond yields, and monetary expansion are all signs of growing pressure.
Although Dalio prefers gold as a hedge against these economic pressures, he has also included 'a bit of Bitcoin' in his investment portfolio. This is not the first time Dalio has mentioned owning Bitcoin; in May 2021, he revealed that he personally owned BTC, describing it as an 'interesting gold-like asset alternative.'
