Dalio Expects Bitcoin to 'Do Well' Amid Global Economic Pressures
Billionaire investor Ray Dalio expects Bitcoin to 'do relatively well' amid rising debt and large fiscal deficits worldwide. The legendary investor pointed out that most economies have similar problems, including the UK, European Union, China, Japan, and the United States.
Dalio argued that weakening demand for government debt, rising long-term bond yields, and monetary expansion are signs of growing pressure. He noted that governments could attempt to suppress Bitcoin if it became too successful.
The billionaire investor owns some Bitcoin but prefers gold as a hedge. However, he suggested that investors could allocate up to 15% of their portfolio to gold or Bitcoin for protection against currency debasement.
