Dalio Expects Bitcoin to Thrive Amid Global Economic Pressures
Billionaire investor Ray Dalio has expressed his expectation that Bitcoin will 'do relatively well' in the current economic climate. He attributes this optimism to the growing debt and fiscal deficits faced by governments worldwide, including the United States. According to Dalio, most economies are grappling with similar issues.
Dalio points out that weakening demand for government debt, rising long-term bond yields, and monetary expansion are all signs of increasing pressure on these economies. He mentions the UK, European Union, China, Japan, and the US as examples of countries facing these challenges.
While gold remains Dalio's preferred hedge against inflation and currency debasement, he has also included a small allocation to Bitcoin in his portfolio. Notably, he suggests that investors could allocate up to 15% of their portfolio to either gold or Bitcoin for protection against such risks.
