Dalio Still Holds Small Stake in Bitcoin, Prefers Gold
Legendary investor Ray Dalio still holds a small portion of his portfolio in Bitcoin, but prefers to invest in gold. On the Diary of a CEO podcast, he explained that while Bitcoin is one type of money, it's not necessarily the best investment choice for him.
Dalio has had a changing view on Bitcoin over the years, initially saying he wouldn't invest in it and now admitting that it makes up 1% of his portfolio. He cited concerns about the potential impact of quantum computing and government regulation on the cryptocurrency.
In contrast, Dalio prefers to hold gold bars as a more stable investment option. He also mentioned that governments could crack down on Bitcoin, and central banks wouldn't own significant amounts because they want their transactions to be private and in control.
