Dalio Warns: Invest in Gold and Bitcoin Amid Looming Debt Crisis
Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates and an estimated net worth of over $15 billion, is urging investors to consider adding 'a bit' of Bitcoin to their portfolios due to potential debt crisis risks.
In a LinkedIn post on Friday, Dalio stated that investing between 10% to 15% of one's portfolio in gold could help reduce risk. He also advocated for holding more gold and Bitcoin compared to debt assets like bonds, citing internal political and external geopolitical conflicts as concerns.
Dalio predicted that a US debt crisis may occur within three years if the current course is not altered. This warning echoes his previous comments in July 2025 when he recommended holding up to 15% of one's portfolio in Bitcoin and gold, noting that 'my guess, which I suppose will be a bad one'.
