Danal Enters OpenUSD Stablecoin Ecosystem, Paving Way for Digital Asset Payments

Share

Danal, a South Korean payment gateway company, has become the first domestic PG firm to join the global OpenUSD stablecoin ecosystem.

This significant step in its expansion into digital asset payments was announced by Danal on August 21, when it officially joined the Open Standard consortium.

The Open Standard is a global initiative that aims to establish a new digital finance standard through OpenUSD (OUSD), a U.S. dollar-based stablecoin designed as a neutral payment asset for digital fund settlement and transfers between institutions.

Danal's move into the stablecoin space aligns with its strategy to integrate cryptocurrency and digital asset payment solutions into its existing services, positioning itself to offer merchants and consumers more flexible payment options that include stablecoins.
