Danal Partners with Open Standard Consortium on Dollar-Based Stablecoin
Danal has joined Open Standard Consortium to collaborate on Open USD (OUSD), a dollar-based stablecoin. The consortium, which includes over 140 companies such as Visa and Mastercard, aims to build digital financial infrastructure for settlement and fund transfers between institutions using OUSD.
Danal plans to integrate its existing payments infrastructure with the stablecoin ecosystem through the partnership. It will introduce OUSD-based payment and settlement functions across its domestic merchant network and payments infrastructure over time.
OUSD is designed as a decentralized stablecoin, where the operating direction is determined by the consortium's board rather than a single institution. The stablecoin will be issued on major blockchain networks including Solana and Base, with plans to expand into cross-border payments and crypto settlement.
