Dango Shuts Down Amid Cash Flow Woes, Compliance Challenges
Dango, a cryptocurrency project, is shutting down its decentralized exchange (DEX) and Layer 1 blockchain. The decision comes after months of operation, with trading halting on July 29 and the Dango chain stopping on August 13.
The team behind Dango has cited strong headwinds, including cash flow issues, legal and compliance challenges, loss of growth momentum, and talent departure. Founder Larry attributed these factors to the project's demise.
Dango joins a growing list of major crypto shutdowns and bankruptcies in 2026, with 17 such incidents logged so far this year.
