Dango Shuts Down Amid Financial Struggles and Compliance Delays
The decentralized trading platform Dango has shut down operations, marking another casualty in the crypto space. Launched in April, the project aimed to provide a Layer 1 blockchain for trading, but it never gained momentum.
A combination of factors led to its demise, including shrinking financial runway, legal and compliance delays, talent departures, and a difficult market environment.
The team acknowledged that they fought until there were no practical alternatives left before deciding to cease operations. Two critical deadlines have been set: trading will stop on July 29, 2026, while the Layer 1 blockchain will shut down permanently on August 13, 2026.
