Dartmouth College Crypto ETF Holdings Fall by 15%

Dartmouth College's crypto ETF holdings have declined by 15% to approximately $12.4 million in Q2, according to a recent SEC filing. This drop in value is significant, but it's worth noting that the university retained its share count for each product at both quarter-end dates.

The decline of about $2.2 million came entirely from changes in the funds' reported market values. The endowment holds positions in BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, Grayscale Ethereum Staking ETF, and Bitwise Solana Staking ETF, which provide exposure to Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana without directly holding the tokens.

Crypto prices have remained below their March 31 levels through Aug. 15. The decline in value can be attributed to a combination of factors, including fees, staking rewards, and differences between market-closing times.
