Veteran Bitcoin developer Luke Dashjr has stepped down from his roles as Chairman, CTO, and Director at Ocean Mining Pool. The move comes after he took leave following the failure of his BIP-110 proposal, which aimed to restrict non-financial data storage on Bitcoin.

The parent company Mummolin has bought back Dashjr's equity stake in a mutually agreed deal, citing differing views on Bitcoin mining's future direction and recent protocol changes. This departure marks an end to Dashjr's tenure as a co-founder of Ocean.

Dashjr is launching a new mining venture called Convoy following his exit from Ocean. The company confirmed it will continue running its transparent, non-custodial pool, which distributes mining rewards directly to participants.
