A dispute has emerged in the Bitcoin community over Luke Dashjr's position as a BIP editor. Developer Mark Erhardt, known as Murch, has filed a formal request to remove Dashjr from the list of editors.

The issue arose alongside the failed activation of BIP-110, a consensus proposal backed by Dashjr that entered its mandatory signaling phase with only 2.53% support.

BIP editors manage proposals, but network adoption depends on broader consensus and the absence of a central authority, highlighting a development risk for adoption sentiment.
