DCG Doubles Down on Zcash with $31.5M Mining Machine Deal
DCG's mining empire is expanding rapidly with its latest move to strengthen its commitment to Zcash. The company has agreed to purchase 9,000 Antminer Z15 Pro machines for $31.5 million, doubling its Zcash mining capacity. The machines are scheduled to arrive in October and November at seven U.S. mining sites.
This deal comes on the heels of Fortitude's recent launch of a new 12-megawatt mining plant in Grand Island, Nebraska. This facility will significantly boost the company's contracted capacity to over 60 MW across four states. The new plant is expected to increase Zcash mining efficiency and help solidify DCG's position as a major player in the cryptocurrency space.
The increased focus on Zcash is seen as a strategic move by DCG, which is preparing for its potential Nasdaq debut through a business combination agreement with Heartsciences. This development will bring institutional exposure to Zcash mining to Wall Street, marking an important milestone for the cryptocurrency.
