DCG Warns Senate: Pass Clarity Act or Risk Losing Ground to Singapore and UAE
Crypto investment firm Digital Currency Group (DCG) has added its weight to the push for the Clarity Act, calling on Congress to pass the bill before August recess. In a statement, DCG said that the current draft of the bill provides the certainty needed for the industry to grow and thrive responsibly.
The company's endorsement comes as lawmakers continue to work on the bill, which aims to set clear regulations for the crypto space in the US. The Clarity Act has been a long time coming, with Republicans passing a version of the bill in 2025 only to see it stall due to concerns over stablecoin yields.
DCG's portfolio includes Grayscale, the manager of the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, and the company is warning that if the US doesn't pass the Clarity Act, countries like Singapore and the UAE will become more attractive destinations for talent, capital, and innovative companies.
