Decentralized Perpetual Futures Market Surges to $423 Billion with Hyperliquid Leading the Charge
The decentralized perpetual futures market has seen a significant surge in trading volume over the past 30 days, rising by 9.1% to reach $423 billion. This growth is largely attributed to Hyperliquid, which dominates the sector with a 58% share of the total volume.
Hyperliquid's 30-day trading volume has fluctuated between $187 billion and $245 billion, indicating high volatility and significant daily fluctuations. In comparison, Aster, the second-ranked exchange, handled roughly one-third to one-quarter of Hyperliquid's volume.
The rise in decentralized perpetual trading comes amid broader interest in on-chain derivatives, as traders seek alternatives to centralized exchanges that offer greater transparency and self-custody. Hyperliquid's success is attributed to its high-performance order book, low fees, and a growing ecosystem of integrations and tools.
