Decta Leverages USDC for Internal Treasury Settlements, Bypassing Banking Delays
Decta, a London-founded payments platform, has adopted USDC as its stablecoin of choice for internal treasury international settlements. This move allows the company to settle its own funds across borders near-instantly, bypassing traditional banking delays.
The arrangement is facilitated by OpenPayd's regulated infrastructure, which converts Decta's fiat into USDC through over-the-counter capabilities. This enables Decta to transfer its funds internationally without relying on conventional banking rails, which often come with cut-off times and multi-day value dates.
Dawson, CEO of Decta UK, explained that the company frequently shifts capital across various banking connections to support day-to-day activities and address cross-entity financial commitments. By using USDC, Decta can move its funds near-instantly, reducing the need for intermediate steps and minimizing the risk of delays.
