Decta Taps USDC for Back-End Treasury Settlements
Payments platform Decta has found an innovative way to streamline its international treasury operations by using Circle's USDC stablecoin. The company routes its funds through OpenPayd, a regulated financial infrastructure provider, where they are converted into USDC via over-the-counter services.
This allows Decta to complete operational settlements near-instantly, bypassing traditional banking processes. According to Scott Dawson, CEO of Decta UK, this 'is a practical upgrade to our financial plumbing.'
The integration follows earlier work by Decta involving regulated stablecoins in Europe, including an exploration with Next Generation to issue a euro-pegged stablecoin under MiCA. OpenPayd's regulated bridge enables the company to access fiat infrastructure and hybrid payment setups through one provider.
