DeFi Development Posts Significant Loss, Halts Solana Accelerator
DeFi Development, a US-listed company focused on accumulating Solana (SOL), has reported a significant loss in its second-quarter financials. The company posted a $27 million loss and a $21.519 million net loss on digital assets during the period.
This financial setback prompted DeFi Development to halt its SOL Treasury Accelerator program, which aimed to secure new deals for the company's treasury. By halting this program, the company is cutting costs and attempting to improve its balance sheet through various measures, including a convertible note repurchase.
As part of these efforts, DeFi Development repurchased $3.5 million face value of convertible notes for $2.3 million. This strategic move aims to strengthen the company's financial position amidst the recent market challenges.
