DeFi Saver Discovers $67 Million in Forgotten Cryptos
DeFi Saver, a decentralized finance dashboard on Ethereum, has discovered nearly $67 million in abandoned assets within its users' smart wallets. This is not a treasure that fell from the sky; these tokens have never changed hands and were left dormant in intermediary contracts.
The team announced this information on X and is opening a claims process for users to check if they are among those affected. The funds come from transaction dust, direct sends to the proxy address, and unclaimed airdrops.
Recovering these tokens requires only the owner's signature and gas fees; any request for prior payment is a scam. DeFi Saver emphasizes that users should carefully verify the domain of their application, refuse any prior payment requests, and never share their recovery phrase.
