DeFi Tech Posts $4.9 Million Profit Amid 85% Share Price Crash
DeFi Technologies has posted a net profit of $4.9 million in its toughest quarter, yet its share price has plummeted by approximately 85% over the past twelve months.
The company's CEO, Johan Wattenström, attributes the decline to three factors: a weak crypto market, sector rotation away from crypto-exposed equities, and one-off technical effects tied to the company's recent capital raise.
Despite this downturn, DeFi Technologies' business remains resilient, with record revenue and profit for fiscal 2025, as well as $150 million in liquidity and virtually no debt entering the second quarter of 2026.
The stock is still firmly in a downtrend, with its 50-day moving average sitting at EUR 0.4526 and its 200-day average at EUR 0.7190, both significantly higher than the current price.
