DeFi Technologies Braces for Crucial Q2 Earnings Amid Recovery Efforts
DeFi Technologies is set to release its second-quarter results on Thursday after the US market close, providing investors with crucial insights into the company's performance. The stock has been attempting to recover from a challenging year, currently trading at €0.4250, up 5.56% on Wednesday and 10% in the previous session. However, it remains around 81% below its 52-week high of €2.31.
CEO Johan Wattenström attributed recent volatility to the stock's correlation with broader cryptocurrency markets and technical factors stemming from past capital measures. He emphasized the company's financial stability, citing a balance sheet of approximately $150 million and being effectively debt-free at the end of the first quarter.
The analyst community has mixed expectations ahead of the release, with H.C. Wainwright maintaining its 'Buy' rating despite reducing its price target to $2.00 from $5.50. Danelfin, on the other hand, assigned a 'Hold' rating due to weaker fundamental indicators offsetting positive technical signals.
Regulatory hurdles and product developments are also key areas of focus for DeFi Technologies. The company has filed an appeal against Finansinspektionen's refusal to approve its UCITS structure for crypto-based assets and is working on establishing a UCITS platform in another EU jurisdiction.
