DeFi Technologies CEO Confident in Business Despite Share Price Decline

Share

DeFi Technologies CEO Johan Wattenström has addressed shareholders in a letter regarding the company's performance. The share price has declined due to a weak crypto market, sector rotation out of crypto equities, and technical factors related to the capital raise. However, Wattenström believes that the business is primed to deliver higher output than during the last crypto bull market.

The company's core business has evolved and become more diversified, scalable, and efficient. Its monetization rate continues to improve on an asset basis, while new products and business lines are set to go live soon. DeFi Technologies has a fortress balance sheet of approximately $150 million as of the end of Q1 and is profitable with effectively zero debt.

The company is aggressively identifying and reducing suboptimal costs to lower its break-even level. It plans to scale arbitrage strategies in the second half of the year and will soon provide an update on the new timeline for establishing a UCITS platform elsewhere in the EU.
