DefiLlama and Forgd Introduce Institutional Token Grading System
DefiLlama and Forgd have introduced an institutional token grading system that assigns ratings from AAA to CCC. The system covers 128 out of 149 listed tokens, with Uniswap currently holding the only AAA grade at a composite score of 60.80.
The rating is based on two components: disclosure scores and performance scores. Disclosure scores assess how well a project discloses its tokenomics, insider wallets, and commercial arrangements, while performance scores examine liquidity, spreads, venue coverage, and market-maker conduct.
The system multiplies the two scores instead of averaging them, which means that even if a project has strong disclosure but weak performance, it will not receive a high rating. In fact, to achieve an AAA grade, both components must be above six out of ten.
Uniswap currently holds the top spot on DefiLlama's live Universal Token Rating dashboard with a composite score of 60.80, followed by Meteora and Curve DAO.
