Democrats Block Senate Crypto Bill Over Ethics Concerns
Senate Democrats have rejected the latest text of the Clarity Act (H.R. 3633), a bill aimed at regulating cryptocurrency, citing concerns over ethics language.
The revised draft was released by top Senate Republicans after more than a year of bipartisan talks and 126 changes requested by Democrats.
Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.) said that Democrats have a counteroffer for the GOP, but declined to elaborate further.
