Democrats Block Vote on Crypto Clarity Act Before Summer Recess
The Crypto Clarity Act, also known as the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (H.R. 3633), has hit a roadblock in its journey to becoming law. White House Official Patrick Witt reported that Democrats blocked a vote on the bill before the summer recess.
The legislation aims to establish a regulatory framework for digital assets, allocating oversight between the SEC and CFTC. Despite passing the House and clearing the Senate Banking Committee, it has yet to be addressed on the Senate floor.
Market analysts suggest that this development may indicate significant legislative hurdles remain, potentially impacting the likelihood of the bill becoming law in 2026.
